This remarkably fine, limited mintage 2020 1oz Niue Dinosaurs Triceratops Silver Colored Antique coin arrives as the 2nd release of the Niue Dinosaurs colorized antiqued series. With the great success of the inaugural 2020 release of the T-Rex offering, we are excited to see the second release coming available! Following a similar basic layout, we are sure you will be just as pleased with this powerful Triceratops design.
Named for its most distinctive physical feature, the Triceratops had three very prominent horns, two towards the back of its head, and one at the front. Being a herbivore, this massive beast was likely most docile. However, its 30 foot length and 13 tons of bulk (not to mention the 3 horns) was surely imposing! It is believed that its most deadly adversary was Tyrannosaurus Rex.
As a legal tender release by Niue, the obverse displays the distinctive Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Inscriptions encircling the rim include, "ELIZABETH II . NIUE . TWO DOLLARS. 2020."
The reverse follows the basic design scheme of the series. Featured is the finely detailed colorize image of the Triceratops against an antiqued, rocky, prehistoric background. The beast's head is raised high. Its mouth is open wide in a full roar, as a pair of raptors initiate an attack. The presentation of this very active design is magnificent! Inscriptions include "TRICERATOPS" at the top rim, and "1 oz Fine Silver" at the bottom.
Discover a range of solid investment opportunities with our diverse silver bullion collection and 1 oz Silver Coins.
