Us Silver Coins

These probably should be sold by weight. Because although the description says they will be mostly FDR; mine were at least 50% Mercury with a handful of Barber. But the Mercury's were mostly very worn. So, we bought a bag of 5000 which should tare out to 12.5kg. It weighed 12.3kg, which is 200g shy (about 80 dimes worth). We were only 15 coins short, which means the rest was wear. So we were shorted $25.65 at purchase spot in coins, but an additional $111 in silver wore away. Which comes to an additional 1.6% of premium over the premium charged on the site. This was my first dime purchase and I will probably stay away in the future due to this overhead.

I ordered 8 of the Mercury Dime bags for Christmas presents last year, and was totally thrilled with the purchase. Quality was great - there were almost no cull coins and I'd say at least 30% were at least fine, maybe more. I was so happy I went back and made two more orders for myself. Highly recommended!
