The Shape of Minions to Come

This very special 2021 Niue Minion Shape Kevin 1oz Silver Colored Proof edition is the third release in the Minions Shaped-Coin Collection. The characters are, of course, featured in the Despicable Me and Minions movie.

As a legal tender offering of Niue, the obverse displays the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley, centered on the shaped-coin. Inscriptions include, "ELIZABETH II . NIUE . 2021 . 2 Dollars . 1oz 999 Fine Silver . © UCS LLC."

The reverse features Kevin the Minion in his standard blue denim overalls, work boots and gloves. But, of course, how Kevin dresses is not his most unique characteristic. That would be his somewhat crooked smirk of a smile and his haircut resembling a sprout. Kevin is fully colorized to match the Minion character perfectly. The shape of the coin also fits Kevin's unique shape. He is depicted cheerfully standing with his typical inviting smile. We do know, however, that smile just might be leading to some mischief.
