Now, however, Intaglio has given "life" to it in the form of an antique finished one ounce silver Frankenstein round by adding color and ruthenium, as well as a glow-in-the-dark effect. Frankenstein's monster is a fictional character who first appeared in Mary Shelley's 1818 novel, Frankenstein. Shelley's title thus compares the monster's creator, Victor Frankenstein, to the mythological character Prometheus, who fashioned humans out of clay and gave them fire.

In Shelley's Gothic story, Victor Frankenstein builds the creature in his laboratory through an ambiguous method consisting of chemistry and alchemy. Shelley describes the monster as 8-foot-tall and hideously ugly, but sensitive and emotional. The monster attempts to fit into human society but is shunned, which leads him to seek revenge against Frankenstein.

The obverse of Intaglio's Frankenstein Reanimated 1 oz Silver Round features Frankenstein's monster in a classic pose wearing a tattered jacket that exposes a chest and neck riddled with scars and stitches. Several lightning bolts fill the background. "FRANKENSTEIN" is inscribed along the top.

The reverse features Intaglio's mintmark set inside a radial design. Along the top is inscribed "ONE TROY OUNCE" while ".999 FINE SILVER" is along the bottom. Flanked on either side of the logo is "MMXXI."
