The obverse depicts a portrait of the artist himself and the theme of this collectible, Mona Lisa, in a currency note style as the design of the legal tender, featuring the Coat of Arms du Tchad, a quote from da Vinci, and the 10,000 Franc face value.
The reverse is a reproduction of the famous painting, Mona Lisa. The high-relief and a 3D life-like image of da Vinci's art is presented vividly. The mint notes: "This painting is considered to be one of the archetypal masterpieces of the entire Italian Renaissance period. Leonardo da Vinci captured the mysterious small smile on the Mona Lisa’s face, the atmospheric painting have caused speculation and imagination to run rampant about this painting for generations. The frame surrounding the original painting is also perfectly reproduced and presents a gold plating. "
