The 2023 1 oz Montserrat Oriole Silver Coin’s reverse features an eye-catching and beautifully colored portrayal of the national bird of the island of Montserrat. The Oriole is a slim species living in mountain forests and feeding on insects. This colored portrayal of the oriole meticulously displays its famed yellow and black body. In the backdrop is a volcano, which can be assumed to be the volcano of Soufrière Hills. The inscriptions around the oriole are “MONTSERRAT” at the top and the year “2023” in the inner circle design.
