The $2.50 Indian Quarter Gold Eagle Coin’s obverse features the effigy of a Native American Indian wearing a full headdress as he stares to the left with a stoic facial expression. The design is a creation of Augustus Saint Gaudens, depicted alongside 13 stars representing the 13 colonies of the original USA and the varying year of issue.
The coin’s reverse bears the portrait of the majestic American bald eagle perched on a bundle of arrows coiled with olive branches. The depiction of the arrows and olive branch represents the contrast between peace and war. Alongside the eagle, the reverse also depicts the inscriptions: “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. 2 ½ DOLLARS. E PLURIBUS UNUM. IN GOD WE TRUST.”
The Coinage Act of 1792 states that the US government should produce its currency and coins. This Act resulted in the foundation of the US Mint in Philadelphia. Since then, the US Mint has been at the forefront of the precious metals industry. With its six facilities in the US, the Mint has been creating masterpieces for over 225 years. BOLD proudly presents the extremely valuable and historical $2.50 Indian Quarter Gold Eagle Coin (MS65, NGC, or PCGS, Random) at the best market premiums.
