BOLD Precious Metals is proud to provide one of Golden State Mint's most thematically interesting silver bars, the 10 oz Bull & Bear Silver Bar. Featuring the two most recognizable symbols of the financial markets, this bar is struck in .999 fine silver and is minted by an ISO 9001-certified American private mint, making it a perfect fit for both silver investors and market enthusiasts.
IRA-eligible. Minted in the USA. Sold in single-use sealed packaging.
On the obverse (front) is a bull with an aggressive look, his head tilted strongly down, one hoof lifted up in a preparatory stance, ready to charge. The bull is an indicator of a bull market, investor confidence and the direction of the bull market. The surface of the bar is embellished with a detailed geometric design, both in the shape of the animals and in the background, creating a sense of depth and texture. The bull is incused with the GSM design below it.
The back (reverse) has a strong bear, mouth open, right paw lifted and ready to swat. The bear is a symbol of weak markets, conservative attitudes and difficult trends that put investors to the test. The design language is consistent on both sides, with the reverse featuring a similar geometric design. The bear is above which the bar's specifications are made: 10 TROY OUNCES · .999 FINE SILVER
Golden State Mint offers three sizes of the Bull & Bear design:
They all have the same split-face design idea: a bull on the obverse, bear on the reverse, and a geometric pattern on both sides. The three sizes will look great together and create an impressive set showing the whole cycle of market forces.
For centuries, the bull and bear have been used to represent market forces. The words are believed to have come into use in early financial trading in 18th century England, when the "bearskin jobbers" would deal in bearskins before they could have acquired them, taking the position that the values of the animal skins would drop before they could be received. This is a short-selling practice that led to the creation of the phrase "bear market." The bull was added as a natural partner—the strong, charging beast that pushes prices high through strength and momentum.
These two symbols represent the emotional extremes of all the financial markets in the world today:
This ongoing struggle, between optimism and caution, growth and correction, is why they'll always be a part of the market cycle. That is the essence of the Bull & Bear Silver Bar that comes in 10 ounces.
Golden State Mint works in America as a private mint in 1974 established by Jim Pavlakos, which is now run by him and his son Andrew. GSM has two locations in Southern California and Central Florida, that manufacture .999 fine silver bars, rounds and gold bullion for investors and collectors across the country. Golden State Mint is ISO 9001 Quality Assurance certified by the International Organization for Standards — one of the most stringent quality management certifications in the world for manufacturing. GSM silver products are IRS-approved for inclusion in Precious Metals IRAs and are all graded to IRS standard for fineness.
