The common thread throughout the Terra program is the Latin words, “SERVA ME, SERVABO TE” (Protect me, I will protect you). The 2021 issue is the starting point for the series. As the project's own description goes: "Latin for Earth - Terra is our only home, which provides all the resources necessary for life, but humanity has left its footprint on the earth.
This coin reflects the significance of protecting the environment and emphasizes the cooperation of all people in solving the challenges of climate change. This is not a proof coin, but a proof-like version. That's important when it comes to price and the product it's all about. It is a sharp and close-up globe detail; the production process is not foolproof, which is why the price is lower.
A globe of Asia, Australia, and Oceania. There is a small model of Queen Elizabeth II by artist Iran Rank-Broadly included in the design. Tokelau is indicated by a star. Around the edge of the rim are stylized compass marks. The inscription is 5 DOLLARS, ELIZABETH II, TOKELAU and TERRA 2021.
Globe from the other side with Europe, the Americas and Africa visible. The "+1.07°C / +1.93°F" inscription indicates the temperature change above 20th Century baseline temperature for the global average. The base is filled by a compass.
Designer: Peter Van Aulen.Designer's Labor: 1 oz FINE SILVER, TERRA 2021, SERVA ME, SERVABO TE.
The territory of New Zealand that is the source of the legal tender for this series is located in the Pacific at the coordinates indicated on the obverse. On the back is the GPS reading of Bratislava. It's not a pretty addition. Pressburg Mint is located in Bratislava, and it is very unique that the designer places the very name of the city of the mint itself into the design of the coin; the series of coins that is just a mint is not like this.
This is a Tokelau series of Queen Elizabeth II effigies by sculptor on the obverse, Iran Rank-Broadly. The effigy does not dominate the face – one reason why the design does not look like a typical sovereign coin – it is positioned side by side with the globe inset.
That's what the mint is doing with this series: the temperature number on the back will have a different significance in 10 years that it does today. As part of our network of mint affiliations, BOLD is in direct connection with Pressburg Mint. We get them from them directly, so we have a first-hand perspective of their production standards and don't have to take the word of a distributor. The purpose of this coin.
Our buy back program influences what happens on the site. Only coins that we would want our customers to buy from us are stocked. The 2021 Tokelau Terra fulfills the requirements for a resale coin: It has a clearly limited mintage of 7,500 tokens, it is produced by a private mint that can be verified, and it has a multi-year series, providing the collector with a sense of continuity. Open mintage generic rounds do not slow down like open-mintage rounds.
You're interested in selling at a later date? Our Easy-Exit Sell-Back process is as follows: You contact us, and we provide you with a quote based on the live spot at that time, and you decide. There's no negotiation theater. A competitive price and quick payout. What you pay over spot.
For proof-type coins, the premium is higher than the premium of bullion rounds. This premium is due to the low mintage, high grade of the dies, and the reputation of the mint. It doesn't vanish when you sell, which is one of the reasons why we sell coins at this price level and not just all the coins and rounds.
For those who have just entered the silver market, spot price is the price of the raw metal at a specific time. The premium is all the rest. If you are getting the premium on a 7500-piece premium coin from a good mint, then the premium is genuine. If it's a generic round, there's less. We price clearly. No extra charges for extra features.
