The obverse displays the closeup left-profile effigy of Lady Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap with a decorated hair band reading, “LIBERTY ''. This effigy is modeled by Anna Willess Williams and designed by George T. Morgan, hence the moniker. The edge displays the inscription, “E PLURIBUS UNUM”, the motto of the US that translates to “Out of many, One” and “1904”, the year of issue.
The reverse of the 1904-O Morgan Silver Dollar displays the coat of arms of the United States of America. The heraldic eagle in the center depicts courage, freedom, and immortality. The eagle holds an olive branch and a set of arrows in its talons, representing peace and war.
