The obverse of the 2 oz Second Amendment Copper Round bears a patriotic image of one of the forefathers holding a rifle as he stands atop a rock. To add to the patriotism, the background also depicts the American Stars and Stripes flag in its full glory. The image is encircled by the inscriptions that read “CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS,” which is what the Second Amendment states.
The reverse side of the copper round bears the actual full text of the Second Amendment from the Constitution. The inscription is: “Second Amendment A WELL REGULATED MILITIA BEING NECESSARY TO THE SECURITY OF A FREE STATE, THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO BEAR ARMS, SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.” Below the five stars in the center, the identifying marks are imprinted: “2 OUNCE .999 COPPER GOLDEN STATE MINT.” These imprints are further encircled within a thick edge that bears the quote by Thomas Jefferson: “NO FREE MAN SHALL EVER BE DEBARRED THE USE OF ARMS. THOMAS JEFFERSON.”
