In contrast to the previous Gibraltar-produced releases of the series, the 2025 1 oz Niue Lady Justice Silver Coin (Alpha Strike) is the first edition issued under Niue's authority and the fifth annual release in Scottsdale Mint's Lady Justice series.
The Alpha Strike edition, which is limited to less than 2,500 coins out of a total mintage of 50,000, is the first piece struck from brand-new 2025 production dies. It is made of .999 pure silver and backed as legal tender by the Government of Niue.
One of the most thoroughly documented silver bullion coins available in 2025 is the Alpha Strike coin, which is sealed in Scottsdale Mint's holographic Certi-Lock® card with a unique serial number, precise strike date, die number, and mintage position recorded.
The Reverse Profile — Lady Justice
The reverse features a powerful, full-figure composition of Lady Justice (Iustitia), the Roman personification of justice. With a sword in her right hand (authority and finality) and scales in her left (balance and impartiality), she stands blindfolded.
The allegorical figure is grounded in a natural setting by the appearance of mountains in the distance. Alongside "JUSTICE" at the top rim, the year "2025," and ornamental stars, the Latin inscription "FIDES ET JUSTITIA"—"Faith and Justice"—arc over the field.
The relief is at its sharpest and the fields are at their brightest because Alpha Strike coins are struck from brand-new dies; both characteristics decline as dies develop wear over longer production runs.
The Obverse Profile — Public Seal of Niue
The official Niue Public Seal, a design full of national symbolism, is displayed on the obverse. The Niuean people and life are symbolized by a stylized tree in the center. It is surrounded by hiapo motifs, which are traditional Niuean tapa fabric patterns that symbolize the land.
The seal is surrounded by a garland of 14 seashells, each of which stands for one of Niue's 14 villages. Niue's Commonwealth connections are recognized at the top by St. Edward's Crown.
The design is completed with the national motto, "ATUA NIUE TUKULAGI" ("God, Niue Eternally"). Weight and purity are listed with face value of $1 NZD.
